Our Mission
We were founded in 1995 by Susan Smyth and Nancy Hanseman, two OD professionals with a vision. They wanted to create a local chapter of the national OD Network, where experienced OD practitioners could learn from each other.
With the first Board, they crafted this mission statement:
“The Greater Cincinnati-Dayton Organization Development Network is a professional organization that strengthens its members and carries the work and awareness of organization development into the Greater Cincinnati and Dayton communities by modeling OD principles and practices.
GCD-ODN provides professional development and networking activities for members, and education about OD for the community.”
ODN IS for You!
The Greater Cincinnati/Dayton Organization Development Network brings Professional Development to You!
All of our programs and events give you time to network, share some fun as well as learn from other change agents.
We offer–
- Dinner meetings, informal “Salons,” with mini-workshops focused on current issues in the field of OD, presented by distinguished colleagues in our region. All discussions and experiential sessions are on cutting-edge organizational development topics and are led by members.
- Event Rotation: ODN can host events at various organizations in the area giving you an insiders peek into a variety of organizational structures. Let us know if you want to sponsor one of our meetings.
- When possible, ODN invites nationally known speakers to lead intensive half-day workshops.
- Opportunities for educational networking with your consulting peers.
- Lots of fun, learning and laughter!
