March 18, 2008 Meeting Topic

Future Shock: E-Learning: How’s that working out for you?At our March 18th meeting we will explore the practice of e-learning in a wide variety of settings. We will hear from a panel of experienced e-learning implementors. Discussion will include such topics as:

  • Why Organizations Use E-Learning
  • E-Learning’s Place in Training and Development
  • E-Learning Alternatives in Academic, Corporate, and Small Business Settings
  • Established Best Practices for Implementing E-Learning
  • Less expensive E-Learning Implementation Tools

Our meeting is being hosted by the Industrial Organizational Psychology Department at NKU as they study Training and Development.

We anticipate a lively discussion among NKU students and faculty and our ODN members at the meeting, though some students may need to leave for class at 6:15. Our panel members will include Tony Cippollone and Dale Browning.

Tony Cippollone is an Internal Training Consultant at Kendle International and is experienced in building e-learning in the corporate world. He will be prepared to discuss lessons learned from his experiences with e-learning at Kendle and elsewhere.

Dale Browning has served as an international lecturer on technology infrastructure and e-learning strategy for IBM, Microsoft, and many other firms since 1982. He has implemented e-learning in academic, commercial, and small business settings for his firm, TechCollaboration.com. Among other topics, he will discuss less-expensive e-learning software options for the small business and O.D. consultant at this meeting.
