At our February 12th meeting Arlene Roane will share her perspective on the relationship between the diversity and HR, OD, and recruitment functions. Through discussion and case study work based on recent client engagements participants will have the opportunity to explore the following:
- Transforming Culture from Tolerance to Acceptance

- Understanding and Achieving Cultural Dexterity

- The 2 G’s - Generation and Gender

- Why Work/Life Balance is a Diversity Issue

Arlene Roane, Managing Director with Paul-lawrence Associates and Highbridge Associates, is the practice lead for diversity and inclusion and heads the Cincinnati office. She has 25 years of corporate managerial and consulting experience in a range of industries including communications, IT/software development, retail and commercial banking, consumer product manufacturing, and healthcare.

Arlene is a highly sought after trainer, facilitator and public speaker on diversity and inclusion. She has addressed various national organizations and groups including the National Urban League’s Annual Meeting, the National Black MBA Association’s (NBMBAA) National Convention Sponsorship Breakfast, the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM) Houston Chapter’s Diversity Symposium, the IT Senior Management Forum’s (ITSMF) Annual Meeting keynote address on diversity and workshop facilitator, and the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) regional and national conferences.

In October 2007, Arlene was the featured speaker for diversity week for Marathon Petroleum delivering a live and webcast program to employees throughout the corporate and refinery locations. Other recent corporate training and speaking engagements include:
