 How People Change for Good

Do you ever find yourself in a situation when you have tried everything you know as a Trainer/Coach/Consultant/Counselor/Parent to get a person to change but they are still stuck? Have you ever wondered why some clients seem to eagerly grasp and move ahead but others are intractable despite your great interventions? Telling ain’t selling but what moves people to Change for Good?

We have some answers that will show you why people are stuck and what the best strategy can be to influence them.

The theme song for this interactive and solution-focused session is by Kenny Rogers:

You gotta know when to hold ‘em;

Know when to fold ‘em;

Know when to walk away and know when to run!

TIMING and successful INFLUENCE

  • Wrong Intervention @ Wrong Time = Disaster
  • Wrong Intervention @ Right Time = Bad Decisions
  • Right Intervention @ Wrong Time = Frustration
  • Right Intervention @ Right Time = Progress

You will learn how to assess the Readiness for Change Stage of the Client and know when to Hold, Fold or Walk away.  (Patience, Postpone or Prepare a new approach.)  Bring your stories and frustrations to the session for relief.

Dr. Gary Sweeten, will present the most highly regarded, research based model for Consultant Decision Making developed in the past two Decades.  It will help us match our best interventions with the best time of readiness in the Client. Gary is a Clinical Counselor who founded and supervised a Psychiatric Hospital and Counseling Clinics based on this model. Gary retired to train Change Agents internationally.
