Research shows that emotional intelligence is the strongest predictor of occupational success, even more so a factor than IQ. Emotional intelligence competencies have been found to be the differentiator between high performers and average performers, and from managers and true leaders. In today’s organizations, it is critical to develop and retain talent and for leaders to move their teams through constant change with fewer resources towards innovation and productivity to stay ahead and competitive in the marketplace. Emotional intelligence competencies are best developed through coaching and experiential training. These skills can be tapped into by hiring managers through the use of structured interview questions.
